Overview

?

Hello everybody, PvtVlad here to present you my beginner friendly version of Hammer Throw Disintegrating Aura 1/1 build.

This build uses Disintegrating Aura 1/1, a Void DoT Throwing skill to melt down bosses and monsters alike. The bigger they are, the faster they will melt. We will use Anomaly for a comfortable amount of leech, Void Cleave for a traversal skill and a huge burst of damage (+100 Throwing Damage with Voidfused Projectiles 5/5 is a lot). And finally Sigils Of Hope for generic buffs and Volatile Reversal for mana and the huge 180% more damage it provides.

As I am writing this guide I have just reached empowered Monolith and I am farming around 130 corruption. I will update the guide as my gear progresses.

I will go more in detail later but you can use 2 ways with Hammer Throw. You can choose to use Iron Spiral or not. There are a few reasons that made me choose not to use Iron Spiral. You have more range so the gameplay is a bit safer, and the mana cost is a bit easier to manage. In return you lose some single target dps.

With that out of the way let's jump in to the rest of the guide!

Pros & Cons

Pros

Range and Safe Gameplay

Screen Wide AoE

Use Void Cleave as a movement skill (once you have tried it, you can never use anything else)

No specific gear required

Easy leveling (you can start straight away)

Cons

Single Target Dps on "small size" boss feels inconsistent

Positioning is KEY – If you are too close to an enemy, you are not going to deal any damage. If you are too far away from a boss, you are losing on damage too

Gameplay / Mechanics

At the beginning of every echo, cast your Sigils Of Hope and Volatile Reversal to get your mana back. And then just start throwing some hammers and walk. I use the numlock trick on Anomaly to get permanent uptime of the Time Bubble 1/1. Against tankier enemies I Void Cleave in and Volatile Reversal instantly to stay away.

Against bosses start the encounter with your Sigils Of Hope Volatile Reversal combo, and spam Hammer Throw. You want to use Void Cleave and Volatile Reversal as often as possible. Usually you can Void Cleave twice for one Volatile Reversal.

Equipment

Damage wise you want to stack as much PrefixIncreased Void Damage, PrefixSentinel Increased Void Damage Over Time,

PrefixIncreased Damage Over Time as possible.

PrefixAdded Throwing Damage and PrefixThrowing Damage and Reduced Mana Cost are mandatory everywhere you can have them.

Void Penetration, PrefixIncreased Area for Area Skills, PrefixStrength and PrefixIncreased Throwing Attack Speed are nice affixes too.

For your weapon, an exalted Hollow Blade is going to be very nice. But you can start off with a Dreamthorn. Low level unique and the 40% penetration will give you huge damage. I used one from lvl 15 until the Reign of Dragon timeline.

On the defense side, we want capped Resistances, SuffixCritical Strike Avoidance. And try to get as much life as possible, with SuffixIncreased Health, SuffixHybrid Health and PrefixVitality.

PrefixIncreased Area for Area Skills is bugged at the moment. It reduces the area of Disintegrating Aura 1/1. Be careful! I still list it for when it will be fixed.

Blessings

You have the choice in the Black Sun Timeline for either Grand Wrath of Rahyeh for more life and Grand Depths of Infinity for more void resistance shred.

Timeline
Blessings
Reign of Dragons
Spirits of Fire
Fall of the Outcasts
Blood, Frost, and Death
Fall of the Empire

Build Variants

Leveling

I leveled up from zero and it was very smooth. You start with Hammer Throw for your first skill.

I started speccing Lunge but when I unlocked Void Cleave, I swapped to this one.

It's very straightforward. The most important affixes early on are PrefixAdded Throwing Damage and PrefixThrowing Damage and Reduced Mana Cost. Make sure to level them up and have them everywhere you can to make your leveling experience really smooth.

Tips: You don't need to finish the campaign straight away. After beating Lagon I usually head to monolith farming. I will finish the last act later. You only get +1 all attributes by beating Majasa.

Endgame

Loot Filter

https://pastebin.com/bqjcZPKW

It is a very early empowered monoliths focused loot filter. You should see quite a lot of items with it.

So you can craft and improve your gear little by little.

For a leveling loot filter I would recommend you to generate one from the planner.
