Overview

?

Big overhaul of the build!

(See the Alt Versions for the old version below)

This new version still adheres to trying to make as smooth a playstyle as possible. It involves all the staples of the old build (Flame Rush to drop both Glyph of Dominion and Runic Invocation - Aergon's Plasma Arc) but we've dropped Fire Aura changed a good bit of gearing to really get Spreading Flames everywhere and stack on Ignite - getting close to 250 which just the gear in the planner.)

It still very much sets the world on Fire.

BIG TIME CALL OUT AND THANKS to the crew on the Forums.

Pros & Cons

Pros

Generally pretty quick.

Easy to play. Challenging to master.

Good survivability.

Certain Mono modes become freebies like Glancing Blow, Crit Avoidance and Dodge.

Kill it with Fire. (Did I mention that?)

Cons

Gearing is actually pretty stringent to make it all work well and stay alive.

Beware these mono adds: SuffixChance to Chill on Hit, SuffixChance to Slow on Hit, SuffixChance to Shred Armour on Hit

Ranged mobs that do a lot of dodging can also be annoying (like Sirens) because they don't stay on your Glyph, ranged snipers that come in big packs can also be tricky (this is where you really want to not be near any SuffixChance to Shred Armour on Hit mono adds.)

Boss killing is slow-ish but pretty safe.

Gameplay / Mechanics

This build uses Fireball to not only get Ignite going but also to plant Spreading Flames and to generate fast mana (Unsealed Mana 5/6) and ward with the Arcane Focus 8/8.

It also buffs Flame Rush which we use to rush into a big mob. Flame Rush procs are is setup to proc Runic Invocation (Aergon's Plasma Arc) and Glyph of Dominion which really jacks up the DoT (due to Brand of Deception 5/6 as well as building and generating ward through Decree of the Eternal Tundra 5/8.

You'll have to repeat that a few times on heavier bosses but in the meantime, you spam fireball, soak up health, build ward, rinse and repeat as everything burns to ash.

The last 5 passive points you've got some options you can play around.

  1. Order's Imposition: Since we're using Immutable Order 1/1 we can also use Static Orb (if you have it on your bar instead of Static like I do) to proc it.
  2. Freezing Point for more DoT.
  3. Fill out need INT to make sure you've got your 60.

Fun.

Skills

Passives

Stat Priorities

Equipment

PrefixChance To Ignite On Hit With Fire Skills, PrefixElemental Damage Over Time and PrefixFire Damage Over Time where ever you can get it (substitute normal PrefixDamage Over Time or PrefixFire Damage in the meantime.)

Make sure to get 60 Intelligence. More is better for the Ward Retention but don't over do it if it sacrifices like Elemental Damage over Time or Fire Damage over Time.

T5 to T7 SuffixStun Avoidance is highly recommended on 1 piece.

Build uses SuffixArmour and Reduced Bonus Damage from Crits as defense so you have to get that on 1 piece to fill out what comes on your boots.

Other than that mix and match to fill out your SuffixEndurance as close to 60% as possible, your resistances and then health slots where you can.

Against standards, I feel like Oracle Amulet is best in slot on the amulet side of things simply because of DoT damage and it makes it easier to remain in place on your Glyph of Dominion if you've got a buffer against poison/bleed pools.

Blessings

Top listed is what I went with.

One point of note, once you're able to get Sanguine Runestones 6/8 it might be really strong to test out Health Regeneration. But since those nodes are the last one's I'm taking I haven't gotten that far yet.

The left-side Blessings can be whatever helps you farm/gear.

Build Variants

Leveling

You're really best off using a fast leveling build to get to 50 and monos before respec'ing into this build.

But if you want to try it (a good Firestarter's Torch would carry you quite a ways) I'd do Fireball first, then Teleport at lvl 9. Then Runic Invocation and Flame Rush (respec Teleport) Glyph of Dominion if you can get it at 35. Flame Ward can probably be saved until last unless you can't fit in Glyph yet.

Endgame

Run and gun as fast you as you can. Upgrading along the way.

Loot Filter

No loot filter is provided for this guide. You can generate a loot filter for this build in the Build Planner or create one using Filter Wizard in the Loot Filters section.
