Overview

?

Hello all! I am back with another build guide.

This time Summon Wraith Infernal Shade and The Ghost Maker are on the menu for a new take on Flame Wraiths! We have pushed to Empowered Monolith's and are soon to tackle some of the hardest content in the game!

This build is very flexible with a lot of room for improvement on a player to player basis. It can get pretty fast if you want it to, or you can take a slower approach to echoes. Bossing will be the bread and butter of this build and quite honestly what I focus on when playing it. Quickly grinds through mono's so I can get straight to the bosses!

None of the gear that I have been using is either extremely rare or hard to target farm. But I will say that this build will take a bit to get up and running as you'll want several unique items to get all the synergies going good!

Some key areas you want to farm when running Mono's are as listed Reign Of Dragons for The Ghost Maker and Blood, Frost, and Death for Exsanguinous and Last Steps of the Living. For Death Rattle you can farm this in the acts fairly easily just killing monsters, or you can travel to The Age of Winter to target farm it. Our last unique item Ashes of Mortality can be found from the final boss in the Soulfire Bastion, Fire Lich Cremorus which is a fairly straightforward fight.

Pros & Cons

Cons

Can be a bit squishy at times depending on Modifiers to echoes

Uses several Unique items

This builds damage Ramps up over time

Lots of Summoning Wraiths gets tedious to keep up in a pinch

Gameplay / Mechanics

For gameplay we will be using our main skill Summon Wraith, converting them to fire via the node Flame Wraith 2/2. We will summon up to a maximum of eight Wraith's.

Our supporting skills will be Infernal Shade and Dread Shade, giving us some AOE to throw out as well as a buff to our Summon Wraith. In our skill loop we will want to be using Infernal Shade on large mob packs as they approach because of a node called Combustion 1/1 this will usually obliterate most packs that don't have massive HP pools once our Summon Wraith start attacking.

(Quick note for people unaware you can order minions to target locations/enemies by using the bound key "A". I was unaware of this up until Empowered Monolith's)

Dread Shade being our main and most consistent "buff" skill. We can grant our Summon Wraith Haste through the node Scorching Brand 1/1, and frenzy for a short duration via the node Frenzied Phantom 4/5 as well as bonus cast speed through the node Dying Coven 3/3. These nodes in combo provide us a lot of help with single target or large group clear when mana is too low to throw out Infernal Shade.

Mana seems to be an issue sometimes depending on how quickly your gameplay is going, I tend to run my echoes fairly fast and that keeps my mana pool fairly low having to re-cast Summon Wraith. We are recouping a large amount of our mana pool through our movement skill Transplant and the nodes Azure Veins 2/2 and Pale Blood 3/3. This really helps us to keep mana at a level to where we can keep casting our abilities.

Bossing is where I believe this build shines brightly. Empowered Bosses Or Non Empowered Bosses, it feels very smooth.

Our gameplay loop for bossing will be summoning our eight Summon Wraith. Approaching the boss casting our Infernal Shade to get the damage going. At this point I recommend casting Transplant for a large recoup of mana, followed by a cast of Dread Shade to get our Summon Wraith ramping. Seems tedious in writing but the overall result is a nice smooth gameplay feel for almost all the bosses.

Skills

Passives

Stat Priorities

Equipment

This will be an overview of some stats to lookout for on your gear. Any unique items should eventually be grinded until you get them with Legendary Potential. The belt was a lucky craft that would be hard for me to replicate as an FYI just do the best you can.

Blessings

Blessings are a given, take what you need when you need it there are lots of choices.

I recommend not swapping off of the Grand Spirit of Command blessing as that's quite a large chunk of damage.

Build Variants

Leveling

Leveling with Summon Wraith can be done, but it felt really slow until I got to like level 30.

I'd recommend playing a different build until you hit level 50ish such as Bone Golems or Skeleton Mages for an idea.

Endgame

Endgame will be a lot of grinding out bosses for unique drops with LP. You will be looking for all of the unique items with the maximum LP you can find them with.

We are hitting Empowered Mono's hard as soon as they unlock for you!

Loot Filter

No loot filter is provided for this guide. You can generate a loot filter for this build in the Build Planner or create one using Filter Wizard in the Loot Filters section.
