You're right I shouldn't say that Omnis has no synergy. Omnis is a really versatile item that is easy to have synergy with anything.
I think the Amulet Implicit that gives you straight DR to DoTs is extremely valuable. I'm of the opinion that you're only as tanky as the the softest thing that can kill you, and we are naturally soft to DoT damage. That's the biggest reason I take this over Omnis. It has really high defensive potential that you can't get anywhere else. % Armor Mitigation applied to DoTs is nice too (which I have a lot of) but even that pales in comparison to this stat.
7-5-5-5-3 stats with a sealed affix is really nice too, especially because Omnis is only LP1.
Omnis needs to be LP1 with a very high roll in all the resistances that matter the most to compare in value. (The Crit Chance roll is unimportant since it's almost a dead stat to begin with.)
I'm trying to think of what I would do with one extra point in each of my skills.
-Void Cleave gets a point in Fraying Strikes.
-Abyssal Echoes gets another point in Tides of Rust
-Anomaly gets Exacerbate
-Erasing Strike maybe Obliteration or Rifts of Decay
-VR gets Warped Time
I get some extra Armor/Void Shred and Void pen, plus about a 4-5% damage boost to Erasing. I don't know if that's even much better than just having an extra T5 prefix, which in my case is 27% Crit Multi.
I think Omnis is a good item and better than I originally represented, but DoT DR is just way too important for me to give up IMO. I have 11k EHP to DoT damage and it's often the reason I'm able to survive beyond 1k corruption. I value DoT mitigation extremely highly and got as much of it as I possibly could.
Great job with your guide, I'm sorry our releases coincided, but I'm happy to see this build and playstyle represented!
